Every diamond is unique. Each reflects the story of its arduous journey from deep inside the earth to a cherished object of adornment. Yet all diamonds share certain features that allow us to compare and evaluate them.
These features are called the 4 C’s.
The 4 C’s provide a way to objectively compare and evaluate diamonds, but numbers alone can’t describe a diamond’s mysterious and captivating beauty – for that, you’ll have to visit to see one for yourself.
Cut
This is considered the most important factor and yet perhaps the least understood. A diamond may be colourless and flawless yet, if it is not cut well, it will appear dull and lifeless. The quality of the cut refers to the angles and proportion of the diamond facets, which in turn determines the diamonds ability to reflect light. Well cut diamonds will show more fire, sparkle and brilliance.

Colour
Diamonds occur naturally in a variety of colours and varying intensity of colour. The most sought after diamonds are those that have no colour. It is the lack of colour that makes these diamonds the most valuable. The only exceptions are the fancy-colour diamonds that lie outside of this range.
Clarity
Clarity refers to the level of inclusions, in other words the degree of natural imperfections a diamond possesses. These inclusions can affect the brilliance of a diamond as they may interfere with the refraction of light within the gem. The fewer the inclusions, the rarer and more valuable the diamond.
Carat Weight
Diamonds are measured by weight, the unit of scale is referred to as carat (ct). There are 100 points to a carat. Carat weight purely denotes the size of a diamond and the larger the diamond the more rare and valuable.

Hearts & Arrows Diamonds are supreme Ideal Cut Diamonds that have three distinguishing factors – perfection in polish, symmetry and proportion.
